DAN 330

Dance Composition and Performance

An intensive engagement with the art of choreography. Students explore the concepts of body, space, rhythm, choreographic forms, meaning, and group design. Students create movement studies through improvisation. They develop analysis and evaluation skills through observation, reflection, discussion, and written critiques that prepare them to design and evaluate dance. Students choreograph a final dance and perform it for an audience. They present the process and the application to their lives as Christians through writing and oral presentation
