Plant Taxonomy

Identification, nomenclature, and classification of vascular plants. Emphasis will be placed on the practical use of keys to identify plants in a variety of natural environments, including forests, meadows, and wetlands. Relationships among phyla, families, and species will be explored, particularly in relation to their roles within the ecosystem types where they typically are located.
