ASC 105

Foundational Mathematics

This course presents concepts that emphasize the mastery of problemsolving skills and mathematical reasoning to prepare students for success in subsequent mathematics related courses. Topics include graphing of linear and quadratic equations, exponents and polynomials, quadratic and logarithmic functions, ratios and proportions, and statistical reasoning. The course also includes a mandatory weekly laboratory. Enrollment is limited to first or second year students by a mathematics placement process or permission of the instructor
