Candidates learn historical, theoretical, and practical information related to key issues facing secondary public schooling currently, including how to educate learners with special needs, differentiate instruction in the content areas, develop assessments that fairly and accurately measure student learning, and use universal design to structure classroom and school practices, processes and policies to maximize access to core content for all students, regardless of language or ability.
