Concrete Technology

History of portland cement, production, hydration, aggregates, supplementary cementitious materials, chemical admixtures, fresh and hardened concrete properties, concrete mixture design, and concrete construction. Introduction to concrete durability, concrete repair, and advances in concrete technology. The laboratory period will be used for demonstrations, experiments, and field trips.
