Advanced Composition
This course emphasizes advanced writing and critical thinking skills that are essential for successful completion of a four-year college program. Writing assignments include expository and argumentative prose based on analysis of a variety of readings. Students write a minimum of 7,000 words divided among six to eight essays, including one fully documented research paper and two to three in-class essays. (Competency: Writing)
