CISP 440

Discrete Structures for Computer Science

This course introduces the essential discrete structures used in computer science with emphasis on their applications. Topics to be covered include: elementary formal logic and set theory, elementary combinatorics, recursive programming and algorithm analysis, digital logic and switching and combinatorial circuits, and computer arithmetic. Computer programming assignments will be included. (C-ID COMP 152)
