Leadership and Management in Nursing Practice

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of leadership and management pertinent to health care and nursing. Students will explore the interrelated processes of thinking systematically, developing reflective judgment and exercising leadership. Competencies necessary to succeed in a nursing leadership role in organizations and contemporary society are analyzed and applied to clinical scenarios. Students utilize self-reflection to assess their own leadership potential.
