NURS 302

Medical Surgical Nursing II

This course is designed to introduce students to specialty areas and technology associated with care of critically ill medical surgical patients. Emphasis is placed on developing skills needed to plan, manage and provide patient care to critically ill patients using the nursing process. Critical thinking skills and evidence-based practice concepts are applied to multiple nursing scenarios. Communication, legal-ethical concepts, patient education and pharmacological, nutritional and sociocultural principles are integrated throughout the course.
