Public Relations Writing

The primary goal of the course is to help students develop the professional writing skills expected of beginning public relations practitioners, emphasizing the different approaches required for particular audiences and media. The course covers all forms of writing for public relations, including press releases, public service announcements, magazine queries, securing television and radio interviews, coverage memos, media alerts, features, trade press releases, newsletters, backgrounders, and public relations presentations.
