Nature Interpretation

This course provides students with an in-depth investigation of the fundamental principles and concepts of nature interpretation. Topics include historical development of the field, principles of exhibit design, interpretative program designs and techniques, common field techniques and current trends used by outdoor leaders. This course emphasizes experimental learning theories and their application to natural history interpretation and environmental education program design. Students will develop and present interpretive materials and a nature interpretation program relevant to their course of study
