Student Affairs Competencies III

This course covers several core and interrelated managerial competencies in student affairs: budgeting and finance, resource generation, and other management and administrative activities. The major elements of budgeting and finance in higher education are addressed, as well as the impact of budget activities on all areas of planning and operations within an institution. Development, fundraising, and non-tuition revenue generation are covered in the resource generation section of the course. The management and administration module addresses recruitment and hiring; supervision and evaluation, training and professional development; conflict resolution; and crisis mana PSYC gement.
