Obstetrics and Gynecology

This is a six week clerkship with the purpose of providing clinical experience in the evaluation and treatment of women. Experience is gained in the areas of family planning, pre, intra, and postpartum care, as well as routine gynecological care for sexually transmitted diseases, dysmenorrhea, and menopausal health. Students come to understand the effects that sexual activity, childbearing, and menopause have on a womans medical, emotional, and social well-being
