Emergency Medicine

This course is a six week clerkship with the purpose of providing practical clinical experience in the care of acute medical and surgical emergencies. Students develop an understanding of the concept of triage in an emergency situation. Additionally, students have the opportunity to assess patients of all ages with a variety of problems. Attention is given to the psychosocial and economic factors influencing each patients current and future care
