This is an analysis of Communist theory and interpretations of Soviet practice in selected areas of political, social, and cultural life since the Revolution in 1917. Areas of attention include education and social sciences, the natural and physical sciences, religion, the arts, economic agencies and institutions, agencies of social control, and the USSRs relations with other nations of the world.
