Healthcare Delivery Systems

This course provides an introduction to the US healthcare system as well as an overview of the professional, political, social, and economic forces that have shaped it, as well as the ACA landmark legislation and the implementation. Additionally, the course focuses on such topics as patient-centered medical home, evidence-based medicine, telemedicine, electronic health information, mergers and acquisitions in healthcare, and the increased emphasis on quality and efficiency. A current perspective on the evolving trends in the healthcare industry and their managerial implications is examined
