Environmental Chemistry I

An overview of types of chemical reactions including organic reactions. This will be applied to studying the origin, nature, distribution and fate of a wide variety of chemical species in the environment. The laboratory portion of the course will illustrate the fundamentals of potentiometry, spectrophotometry, atomic absorption, atomic emission and gas, liquid and ion chromatography methods used for environmental analyses
