This involves a study of the various roles that a pianist is expected to take in corporate worship: accompanying and/or leading congregational singing (either with the piano alone or as a part of an ensemble of one or more additional instruments); accompanying choirs,solos, or ensembles (vocal or instrumental); and providing appropriate solo material.
