CM 4430

Script Writing

This course will examine samples of classic and contemporary dramatic literature for story structure, character development, dialogue, and theme. These elements will then be applied to the writing of scripts for the stage. This course depends heavily on peer critique. While the focus for this course is writing for the stage, students who are interested in writing for the screen will be accommodated and given some screen-specific instruction and assignments.
