Creative Nonfiction

This course will examine a variety of creative nonfiction essays—brief, memoir, and literary journalism. Students will explore the various techniques of effective creative nonfiction writing, including description, characterization, and point of view, and they will apply these techniques to their own writing in each CNF form. This course depends heavily on peer critique.
