About Milligan College

Milligan College is a private Christian liberal arts college in the town of Milligan College, Tennessee. Founded in 1866, the school has a student population of more than 1,200 students, most of whom reside and study on its 235-acre (0.95 km2) campus. Milligan was named a "College of Distinction" in 2011. Milligan College is historically related to the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and the a cappella Churches of Christ, with about 35 percent of the student body coming from these religious groups. While the college maintains close ties with the churches which founded it, the school enrolls students from all backgrounds. The college offers over 100 programs of study leading to both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
