Workforce Development

Workforce development takes place on both the supply and demand sides of the labor market. The demand side deals with the expressed needs of employers for specific skill types. The supply side is divided into efforts to upgrade the skills of incumbent workers and to inculcate marketable skills to new workers. A practical examination of the state of the art in workforce development strategies, policies, and programs.
