SOC 695

Masters Research Practicum

A hands-on, intensive group research project supervised and directed by a faculty member. Depending on the type of research, students will collect data, create and/or manage data sets, transcribe interviews, do data coding, and conduct analysis. The topic of the project will be chosen by the instructor and will reflect his or her research expertise, but will be broad enough for students to analyze separate questions within the constraints of the study. At the end of the course, each student will submit a professional level research report of their own analyses. Students should plan to take this course the summer after completing the
