Social Theory and Application

This course will be an accelerated review of the fundamental concepts of the major paradigms in Criminology, Sociology and Anthropology. The remainder of the course will focus on the use of theory in applied research, including identification of useful mid-range theories, problem formulation, development of research questions/hypotheses, and organization of a literature review.
