NUR 884

PMHNP Capstone II (Residency)

This course provides students with supervised clinical opportunities to analyze, synthesize, and implement integrated advanced nursing knowledge and skills. Students engage in comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, intervention, management, and evaluation of clients across the life span. Students are integrated into the DNP role by independently investigating and evaluating outcomes within the context of complex health care systems to achieve client and health system outcomes. Special focus is placed on the performance of the many roles in advanced practice nursing including collaboration as a peer on the multidisciplinary health care team. HOUR REQUIREMENTS: 120 hours over an average of 12-15 weeks.
