Health Assmt. of the School Aged Child:Strategies for Nursing Practice Laboratory

This course is designed to encourage application of learned assessment techniques. The student will have the opportunity to practice skills in the laboratory environment and assist in physical assessment of school-aged children during medical exams. This course will focus on providing nursing care to the child with special medical needs, including those with moderate and severe disabilities. It will also address the requirements of family, school, and other medical personnel when providing comprehensive health care and related educational services to children.
