MTT 169

Math for Engineering Technology II

This course introduces students to plane analytic geometry and calculus, with an emphasis on applications to engineering technology. Topics include sequences and series; lines; conic sections; translation and rotation of axes; limits; derivatives and their applications; integration and its applications; and a basic introduction to statistics, probability and empirical methods. Students must supply a graphing calculator for this course and be familiar with the use of computers. The recommended calculator type is the TI 84 Plus or TI 89.
