MTH 89 begins with the rectangular coordinate system, graphs of linear equations, linear systems, polynomials, exponents, factoring, and quadratic equations with emphasis on graphing and applications through problem-solving. Internet access is mandatory. MTH 89 requires class contact time of 2 credit hours and will be applied both towards financial aid and term billing as the fee for 2 credits. As no credit for this course applies toward graduation, the credits for MTH 89 are listed on the course schedule and the payment receipt as 0 credits. This course does not fulfill the university general education requirement in quantitative literacy.
