Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning

Design of heating, air-cpnditioning, and total- energy systems to provide thermal environments for building structures ranging in scope from single residence to integrated commercial, apartment, or industrial complexes. Course includes factors affecting human comfort, psychometrics, heating and air-conditioning systems, heat pumps, geothermal systems, and utilization of solar energy; computer simulation of transient and steady-state heating and cooling loads in buildings; the selection of controls and appropriate equipment size.
