IT Governance

IT Governance is a collection of processes that define the management, planning, review, and performance reporting that establishes control over IT investment, projects, and delivery of services. IT Governance "helps ensure that IT supports business goals, optimizes business investment in IT, and appropriately manages IT-related risks and opportunities" (COBIT). This includes creating appropriate decision rights and accountability frameworks. This course explores these processes to better understand how organizations can achieve higher levels of IT effectives by developing their governance processes. Material covered includes best practices from existing industry standards such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO.
