Application of Health Coaching Skills

CourseThis course will focus on preparing students to develop an individualized Health Coaching approach. Areas of emphases will include building rapport, assessing readiness to change, and helping individuals clarify goals. Students will demonstrate competence in motivational interviewing, documentation of progress and making referrals. Course will build upon prerequisite knowledge of behavior change, disease management and wellness. Experiential learning component will be included.
