Applied Ecology

Our lives have been increasingly touched by questions pertaining to environmental degradation at local, regional, and global scales. Students examine ways in which ecological principles can be applied to solving some of these crucial environmental problems. Topics include global climate change, sustainability, agroforestry, biodiversity and conservation, invasive species, ecotoxicology, biomonitoring and bioremediation, and restoration ecology.
