Advanced Educational Research
Continuation and extension of EDB 601 Educational Research. Alternative approaches to educational research, both quantitative and qualitative. Basic principles include sampling, validity, placing self in research, reductionism, hermeneutics, and interpretation. Theoretical assumptions, sources of research questions, data collection and analysis, and rhetoric are addressed.
