Clinical Seminar I

The clinical seminar course series facilitates the integration of students into the profession of physical therapy through discussion of various professional topics and engagement in clinical lab activities. Clinical Seminar I focuses on an introduction to the physical therapy profession. Emphasis is on developing a professional image and behaviors representative of a doctoral student and physical therapist. Topics include: the APTA core values, introduction to ethics, reflection and adult learning, resumes and curriculum vitae, introduction to clinical education, & novice and expert practice. Lab hours are spent exploring the role of a PT across the continuum of care including pro bono services.

Units: 1.0
