Advanced Strength Of Materials

This course fosters an understanding of a number of advanced concepts in the field of engineering mechanics. Topics include three-dimensional stress-strain relationships, including failure theories; bending of non-symmetrical members; curved beam theory; beams on elastic foundations; torsion of non-circular shafts using the membrane analogy; and plate theory.
