Bioinformatics

An introductory course in biology or chemistry is recommended, but not required. Computational methods for study of biological sequence data in molecular biology. Analysis of genome content and organization. Techniques for searching sequence databases, pairwise and multiple-sequence alignment, phylogenetic methods. Protein structure prediction and modeling, proteomics and the use of web-based bioinformatics tools.
