ART 415

Life Drawing

The focus in this class will be on drawing the clothed and unclothed figure as well as other figurative elements. We will utilize the figure to explore line, value, mass, color, motion, and other visual elements. In addition to live models, students will work from statues, reproductions, and other anatomical references. A variety of concepts and techniques will be explored, including gesture, contour, cross-contour, structure, and proportion.
