ART 346

Human-Centered Graphic Design

Introduction to ethnographic research techniques, as applied to visual communication projects, and an understanding how the target audience drives design solutions. Focus on how qualitative field research informs the design process, and how agile frameworks can be used to enhance ideation skills and look for design insights. Exercises and projects will combine research techniques, rapid prototyping and brainstorming techniques, and design process analysis.
