ARB 420

Approaches to Translation & Professional Practices

This course is an introduction to translation and designed for students who have successfully completed at least six semesters of Arabic or have an adequate command of the language. The main objective of the course is to introduce students to skills and techniques in translation theories and their application in the case of Arabic-English translation. The course also constitutes a good setting for native Arabic speakers (especially international students) to improve their reading and writing skills in English.
